Subway

Ever been to Subway?
When I go there I usually buy something healthy, or what I consider to be healthy and I kinda went there today with my awesome grandpa.C:
Kinda looks healthy?
This is: Wheat bread, turkey, avacado spread, egg white, spinach leaves, lettuce, tomatoes, and green peppers. I would say since you have bread, the healthiest way of doing this is the six inch one.xD Maybe I am wrong in regards to it being healthy but I consider it one of the healthiest options.C:

The Making of Kaitlyns Tea

#1: Heating the water! (This is only when I am at my grandparents though. Usually I have another heating the water strategy.:P)
#2: I place my tea bag into a measuring cup and pour the hot water into it. Thus creating more than a cup filled with tea, because when I make tea I like a lot and for the longest time did not have the right things to make it. I also usually, put water in one of these and heat it with the tea bag inside in the microwave for six minutes if I do not have a water heater.
#3: This is the kind of tea I usually use, tea bag, Good Earth Green Jasmine!:D Yum, yum, yum!<3 p="p">
#4: The honey, I use natural honey, you can usually find it at Farmers Markets or simply in the honey part of CUB, Whole Foods I think, and forsure, Co Ops.
#5: I used two versions of honey, the top is more cinnamon tasting, and this ones more sugary tasting but natural. You can get them at Co Ops and Farmers Market.:P
#6: This is inside the above honey.xD
#7: Poured the hot water in the measuring cup and added the tea bag, walla!:D
#8: Again.C:
#9: My tea cup, my favorite one, going to show the quote.C:
#10: The next angle.:P
#11: Last angle, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." Said by Gandhi, of whom I look up to.C: I rewarded myself with this cup because I really do not buy myself things all too often at all and when I saw one of my favorite quotes on this cup I knew! I just knew and I loved it. I still love it and am so thankful for this cup and for God choosing to have me gift myself with a tea cup, its weird but I love it. And I am happy every time I see it. I bought it at this really cool tea place called, Indigo Tea Co in Burnsville Minnesota. LOVE the place, love the cup and love my life.C:
#12: I am going to continue drinking my tea out of my favorite cup, enjoy your day.C:

What Can I Do?

I want to change the world. Honestly, I am not kidding. I want to change this world for the better. Why? Because I can! You can too if you really want. There's this quote I shared in class yesterday, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." Gandhi said this! Guess what? He was the change he wanted to see in the world. In this day and age, we can change the world. We can blog and reach people, create a Facebook page supporting what we believe in, add a Twitter in the mix, maybe a Tumblr and you are reaching a few souls out there, plus you can make a web page. Some people out there are going to be interested in what change you want to make in the world. I am so far going to find many places where I can volunteer and learn about the causes I want to support, causes which might support what change I want to make in the world.
"Everyone must leave something behind when he dies . . . Something your hand touched some way. . .It doesn't matter what you do, so long as you change something from the way it was before you touched it into something that's like you after you take your hands away.”
― Ray BradburyFahrenheit 451
“You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world.”
― Woodrow Wilson
“The only people who can change the world are people who want to. And not everybody does.”
― Hugh MacLeod
“Didn't they realize that the only way to change things was to act?”
― Tamora PierceThe Woman Who Rides Like a Man
“You can't make footprints in the sands of time by sitting on your butt. And who wants to leave buttprints in the sands of time?”
― Bob Moawad

I Want World News

This is very interesting in regards to what is in the US news. Honestly, I want foreign news, more along the lines of news from Ukraine, Russia, Eastern Europe. I would love to know what is going on though, where ever, because I like culture, and learning about people, people from other places. I think that they should share more global rather than USA and people of USA who are famous. I want other news, outside news. This video expresses what is true of the US news.

Images

This one above for some reason, I feel expresses in some way how I am feeling.<3 p="p">
This one also expresses how I am feeling.xD And I think this one is absolutely beautiful.
This too expresses how I feel, walking away. From something. I find photography is an art and it can relate and have feeling attached with an image.

Interview

So yesterday I interviewed for a job! My first interview! I have to say it was really fun, the nice young woman who interviewed me was a great person and she was really easy to talk to, we laughed, we smiled, we chatted and had fun. I interviewed for a job at Godiva. Even if I do not get the said job, I will go there because the lady who was working was super fun to chat with and I had a good time. I have to say, the people in a store and how they treat you really does effect if you will go there or not. In this mall there was a spot I went for food and the woman there was really disrespectful, I noticed I felt drawn and taken back. I was shocked. Where as in Godiva I felt at home and chatty and happy. Their mood effects your mood. So if your working, use those pearly whites.C: Just saying! Those working at Godiva, they know how to make you feel at home, honestly, every Godiva I have been to, the same, people who love their job and love chocolate. Everyones chatty and fun to talk to. If you do not know what Godiva is... It is a chocolate store with the best chocolate I have ever had in my life! If you are over eighteen you can get a free chocolates reward card and try a new and wonderful piece of chocolate every month. It is worth it because then you can bring friends there and have them try a new kind too and then decide which is your favorite so when the holidays come up and people want to buy you chocolate, be like, well this is my kind! Haha.:P My favorite kind is creme brulee. I am putting this in order...
1. First you see the chocolates in the show case at Godiva, you spot Creme Brulee!
2. You have it in your hand after you have selected it. Now you can eat it!
3. Take a bite, and yum!
So, so, so good! I loved it so much.xD Just saying. Maybe because I love creme brulee in real life or maybe because it was Godiva and the chocolate truffles at Godiva are simply amazing! A typical Godiva store might look like this...
I think it looks like you might expect a chocolate store to look, fancy and somewhere you want to go if you are craving something sweet!C: I kinda want to try the new tiramisu truffle...
This is what it looks like behind the glass!
On the inside.C: Gosh this blog looks like an add for Godiva and trust me I did not want to make it into an add for Godiva, I have loved Godiva though for years and have been trying chocolate there for a long time. Enjoying the savory goodness and new flavors and if I do get this job I think it might just be really exciting.:P

Life is Good and a Cup of Tea

I am drinking some warm, jasmine green tea, just finished an apple. Now hanging out, gloomy day, so I am watching a show, The Secret Life of the American Teenager. I love this show, I love this day. I made eggs with an amazing person this morning, scrambled eggs and had quite a fun time. I think in life good comes. God is good and wants the best for us all, we just have to open our eyes and see the good. I mean I could just see this gloomy day and be like today is going to be horrible. Or I can be like, today will be awesome, I made scrambled eggs with an amazing person, am watching a great show, made yummy tea, cleaned up, so today will be a good day.:D I am going to go out and have a great day. I hope everyone who reads this, has a good day.C:

Boiling An Egg

Boiling an egg is interesting. Today I placed an egg in boiling water. I set the kitchen timer for 10:00, ten minutes! My egg yolk was a little orange. Yep. I think I might just do it for twelve or fifteen? Maybe I need a little advice lol. I have been working on my boiling egg strategy for about a few days! A few darn old days!

A Word From Kaitlyn "E"

So I am now a member of Lifetime again! I am so freakin' thrilled! I seriously am... Seriously! Lifetime is super duper epic. I cannot wait to dive into the pool.:D I miss swimming, the smell of good old chlorine! The saunas, I am going to take full advantage of being a member at Lifetime. Thing is, I am Kaitlyn Ellis now. Yes, the mysterious Kaitlyn Ellis! A word from me! I changed my last name... We did not have my birth information, thus, the last name is Ellis on my membership, fun stuff! Haha.:P I feel like the membership to Lifetime is a blessing. Gods giving me a blessing in life and I am appreciating it because it was completely unexpected and I am so excited and thankful for the unexpected. I did not need a membership there, yet now there is one, I am seriously brilliantly happy.C: About this new membership, the chance to meet new people, the opportunity to live, God in my life looking out for me.C:

Thought Process

I was just in thinking mode and I wanted to say, I am very thankful today for...

  1. The ability to see.
  2. God loving me and always being here for me.
  3. Having a home.
  4. Having food.
  5. Having two arms, two hands and all my fingers, thus creating the ability to write.
  6. Having two legs and two feet.
  7. My health.
  8. Having my teeth.
  9. Life, this life!
  10. Being able to go to school.
  11. My clean room, cleaned by myself.
  12. The ability to run, might go on a jog any minute!
  13. Tea!
  14. Девин
  15. My good friends.
  16. Who I am today!
  17. Family.
  18. Water!
  19. So, so, so much more.C:

Thursday

So here I am! Yes, here... In my room, debating what to do. I think I might hangout with a friend of mine named Mariah. Yesterday I hungout with her too. Talked to her on the phone about her nephew, William, eight year old boy who was in a boating accident. Can I ask anyone reading this to pray for him? To also pray for his family. I will be forever thankful.C: Truly will be. So I talked to her for a while, then met up with her, walked to meet up with her, I love a good walk, its nice to get outside and feel the breeze and the sun. We decided to watch some beach volleyball where I saw the lovely Jay, Lauren, Nora. Jay even said hi and I was glad because he rocks and he helped Teresa and I find a weight loss plan! Which is awesome! Then Mariah and I went to Subway, I bought her a sandwich. I am thinking if I go back and decide I want a sandwich, I am going to get a six inch wheat bread, egg white, turkey, avacado spread, tomatoe, green pepper, and lettuce or spinach leaf sandwich! Talk about healthy right?:D I love the egg whites there.xD Haha. Then we walked to her house and I made tea, then we made brownies and watched How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days which is a hilarious and great movie.C:

I Love This Song

Meet the Family of the Guy or Girl you Like

When in a relationship or a getting to know you situation with a guy (in my case it is a guy because I am straight but it could be a girl or a guy), when it comes down to meeting the family, just be yourself. Also, know this, if the guy you are talking to does not want to introduce you to his family, that is not good, someone who truly likes you should want to introduce you to their family. If they do not, that is something not cool, and might be a relationship breaker. They should be proud to have you as a part of their life and be happy and excited to show you off and introduce you to friends and family, tell friends and family all about you. If it comes time to meeting the family, know that if he likes you a lot and has told his family about you and his friends, for his sake if they care about him, they would likely be interested in getting to know you and would like you. If you are a good person and you are yourself. If a close famliy member does not like you, let's say a sibling or parents. Know this, if they just absolutely do not like you and can find no reasons to like you, and are simply disrespectful, then I guess my way of going about it would be to end the relationship because thats family, that sibling or parent and you cannot spend your whole life feeling as if you have this unability to be liked by someone whose so important to the one you love, it might strain their relationship and I could not ask that of someone I truly like and care about. I saw a movie about it, "Monster In Law", the mother of the fiance, the male, could not accept the female he loved even though she made him happy, she could not accept her. In the end the fiance female saw the mother who could not like her's in law who did not like her and realized that kind of a relationship with a mother in law was not something she could live with for the rest of her life and the best thing was to leave the relationship which in the end made the mother in law realize it too and accept her but in real life if that happens I think to consider leaving the relationship because they, the guy you like and his parents and siblings should be close and their relationships being good is important.

Some quotes I loved from Monster In Law.
"Charlotte 'Charlie' Cantilini: And about the holidays...
Viola Fields: Are you gonna keep me away?
Charlotte 'Charlie' Cantilini: You must be present for every Christmas, Thanksgiving, birthday, school play, clarinet recital, and soccer game in our kids' lives. I want you to love them, and spoil them and teach them things that Kevin and I can't. Like how to throw a right hook for example. I want you there, Viola. I do, up front and center. From this point i will not negotiate.
Ruby: Damn, that girl can give a nice little speech! "
(So true, if you are married or getting married to someone and you two have kids, I think having the mother of your hubby around for your kids and holidays is very important and I think the relationship you have with her is important too, for his sake, if you care about a guy you should try to get along with his mother, but if she just doesnt like you no matter what, then maybe its time to sever the relationship for the sake of her relationship with her son and for your own self worth.)

Freedom Writers Quotes

I loved the movie Freedom Writers. If you are my friend and you are reading this, and happen to want to watch it, let me know, lets have a Freedom Writers night! The movie is seriously a classic and it is so memorable.C:

"Erin Gruwell: The evaluation assignment was to grade yourself on the work you're doing. You gave yourself an F. What's that about?
Andre: It's what I feel I deserve, that's all.
Erin Gruwell: Oh really?
[pause
Erin Gruwell: You know what this is? This is a Fuck You to me and everyone in this class. I don't want excuses. I know what you're up against. We're all of us up against something. So you better make up your mind, because until you have the balls to look me straight in the eye and tell me this is all you deserve, I am not letting you fail. Even if that means coming to your house every night until you finish the work. I see who you are. Do you understand me? I can see you. And you are not failing."

(Love, love, love.)
(LOVED this.)

This is Your life

This is your life, it is not going to be a super long time on the Earth and thus make your actions and words what you want to be remembered as when your gone, off the face of the planet. All you are left as here on Earth is a memory. What do you want your memory to be? I want people to remember me as someone who did not care what others thought, who lived and enjoyed every moment which I was blessed with the ability to have on Earth. Not everyone gets the chance to live as long as I have and not everyone has had it as easy as I have on Earth. I consider my life easy, because in comparison to some of the lives I have heard about, mine is easy, the problems I have had are small and I always get over them because I have God. Some people do know they have God there and their problems become larger because of that.

Judging

People may judge you without knowing you, let them, it will happen and it is not your fault. Maybe they judge you for something obvious, maybe they judge you for something you cannot help, maybe they judge you out of jealousy. Let them. Those who judge, may judge, but they judge out of weakness its self. In my life I have judged, I judge others often but I will not be ensnared by my past and stuck in this evil, meaningless judging. It is a waste of my time, a waste of my thoughts, a waste of my words. Judging is not who I am as a person and I am going to pray about it and apologize about judging. I am a hypocrite because I think judging is wrong yet I judge, and I will be working on it in my life. I do not want to gossip anymore either, because I do so about past experiences and those in my life. Its weak and I am going to work on stopping, I am going to talk to God about it and pray and I am sure with God helping me, and my ability to admit it as a problem I do have, I will be able to stop it. I wanted to post this to admit, publicly that I gossip and I judge but I will not do so quietly, I will stop this and I will admit it as a problem because God never judges and God never gossips and thus I should not either. I want to live in the image of God, as the loved being that he created me to be. I am loved by God always and this love is what will be the biggest help to stopping me from a bad habit.

Love this song!

This song has certain words in it, so please if you are under a certain age refrain, I just posted it because I like this song but it does have language and uses words I do not suggest using.

Being Single

Honestly, I am perfectly happy being single. I am a single young woman, hanging out, drinking a warm cup of green tea with honey, in the midst of summertime. Enjoying being single. How crazy is that? I really need to stop with that term, "How crazy is that?" Wah! It is intense, but I need to find some other term to dwell on and share.C: Today I have been thinking about life, my life, and about ideas. I am finding things I want to do, I have come up with this idea, have one song every day of the year, a motivational song for every day. What a great way to start a day? Well I happen to think so.C: I found a few cool quotes, "I need to love myself more." Which is so true for everyone, find reasons to just stand up and say, "I freakin' love me!" Right? You know, I want to have a day of past. Not to recall my past but to go back in a time I did not live in, listen to music from a certain era and maybe use words from that era, and go out and act as if I am in that era! How cool would that be? Go to a place if there is one from that era.C:

Inspired

I am feeling for the first time in such a long time, inspired. Inspired to write! Inspired to create a character. Oddly I have these ideas and I have a notebook right next to me now! How crazy is this? The ability to write my ideas in a notebook and make them come to life with Pinterest. I can make a board on there and have all I need, images of the character and the style the character has and the place where the character is from and events! Yes, yes, yes! Inspiration. I am going to keep writing because writing keeps me on my feet, so to speak of course!C: Life is so, so good!

Girls Night... With God!

I have not had a girls night alone before, or maybe I have but I have not called it a, "Girls Night, Alone Edition!" Only this is untrue, tonight's not going to be a, "Girls Night Alone", it is going to be a, "Girls Night... With God!" I am going to have one of those chats... With God! Why? Because Gods always here for me and I want to thank him for this life, having a purpose for me, giving my life meaning and wanting the best for me.<3 God is the best and God is my number one! Tonight is about appreciating and loving myself, through the tough times that have been placed as lessons in my life and tonight is about thanking God for holding my hand and carrying me through these lessons, giving me strength, loving me like no one else can, and cheering me on always. Tonight's crazy agenda? Just have a good time, laugh, smile, enjoy being myself, pray loud, pray quiet, whisper prayers, read Christian inspiration, sing loudly along with a few girlie Chrisitan songs I love and maybe spin around to them and dance in a purely Kaitlyn way! Watch a movie or two! I am currently thinking the movie, Spirit!<3 I am planning on doing a craft, possibly! I think a little yoga time is certainly on the agenda! Of course! Making a lovely pot of green jasmine or green tea with honey. A little writing, a little drawing, a little personal reading and chit chat time with God. Tonight's a night about having positive fun. I think I want to do this more often too, have a day to appreciate myself and thank God once a week. Tell those around that I am busy, I have a, "Girls Night... With God!" That's whats on my agenda.C: Maybe they will understand, maybe not, either way, "Girls Night... With God", that will be a new part of my life. A day to myself, I might add on to it and make some fun rules. I could make a rule like, "No phone, turn it off for a day!", and "No Facebook for a day, too distracting", "Make sure to step at least one foot outside and breathe in the air, just because". Who knows, but I do know for sure, I am excited about tonight.<3

How I feel this song is kinda...

I am Learning...

Life is never supposed to be perfect. Yet what we have we should be thankful for, this life is a gift from God, the fact that we are able to breathe is such a blessing and tonight it has been rough. Maybe it has not for you, whoever this "you" is reading this. Yet I can tell you, my day though wonderful in many ways has been a struggle for me to hold it together. If I did not have God in my life, as my number one I might have fallen to tears a few times in this day. I still want to cry it out and hide from the world, but I know that wont do me any good, I have to be strong and go through the tough times and hang in there. I know I can hang in there and do well and make it through but I sometimes do not yet understand what it is God wants me to learn from this time in life. Yet I know God has great plans for me and today this day has been a lesson and God wants me to learn though it is tough, God wants me to learn.
